while initially I thought Dean being infected by ghost sickness because he was a dick (show's reasoning, not mine) was funny.. something else piqued my interest. Sam says that the victims used fear as a weapon. Now Sam does turn it around to that being a part of the job description, but I doubt it's just that because Sam should have been infected too. But he's not. Ergo, Dean uses fear/intimidation as a weapon. Weapon being the keyword

Sam: Dean, all we do is scare people

Dean: ok well, then you're a dick too

Sam: apparently, I'm not 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have such mixed feelings about 4.6 Yellow Fever. I think its extremely interesting and sad and funny. I love how Sam really just goes along with whatever Dean needs to lower his anxiety. But also, I absolutely hate how the only reason Dean gets infected is because he’s a bad person. Fundamentally, Dean is a good person. He sometimes acts like a dick, but its only because he cares so much and wasn’t really shown how to express his emotions in a healthy way. It bothers me that they would lump him in with men who did such a heinous thing. Dean is just too good of a person to get this sickness.

Yellow Fever really reminds me how much of a good actor Jensen is! Like the fear is all played for laughs but at no point do I question how afraid Dean is, though. It all comes across so genuine.
